Quick Listen, not yet the whole album.
It is what expected from James Guthrie. Just a little "expanded" the 5.1 mix.
It sounds good, a little more immersive than the 5.1.
But it always disappoints those of us who prefer more discretely aggressive Atmos mixes.
Sound is "mainly" Quad, this time with the Surround Backs (Rears) engaged, instead of the Sides. With little amount of content on Tops. Nothing on Wides.
I would expect Gilmour guitar solos coming from above, but they come from the rears. Just very similar to previous 5.1 mix.
The Tops are only engaged with the subtle Rick's ethereal keyboards, that even giving a good "immersion" It doesn't turn out to be anything spectacular.
