Don't know why there wouldn't be. They've never been shy releasing previous remasters on physical media.
Well most commonly, with Floyd releases and otherwise, films *shot in 4K* have usually only ever landed on a standard Blu Ray disc, which isn’t a 4k format. For whatever reason, looking likely that this won’t see a release on the 4K Ultra format either. But I’d love to be proven wrong.

Honestly from my recollection (haven't watched the DVD in a while) this didn't appear to be shot using the best film stock or lenses. So an HD Blu Ray with Atmos may be fine. 4k is pretty mainstream at this point, so it's not out of the question. But not every film will benefit noticeably from being mastered in 4K.

My main wish is a physical release with the cleaned up audio in Atmos. But I certainly wouldn't complain about it being 4k UHD.

Looks like you'll get your wish. Over on SHF, the leaks are coming in fast. An edited version of "Echoes (Part 1)" is already on streaming sites in Atmos, though I'm not sure it's playable yet. And FNAC has the following listed (all separate editions): Blu-Ray, DVD, 2CD and 2LP.

That makes sense. Steven Wilson's Home Invasion came out on 4K UHD Blu-Ray a while after being available on streaming in 4K and HD Blu-Ray so it's not impossible.

It always a shame when 4K scans aren't made available on physical media but like you said, my main concern is the audio which I imagine would be the same regardless of video format. I'm a big fan of Wilson's mixing work so a definitive physical release of Live at Pompeii in Atmos would be an instant buy for me either way.

On a side note I watched the King Crimson documentary last night, I had no idea they performed at Pompeii in 2018! Aside from Floyd and Gilmour I think Crimson is the only other band to have performed there. Here’s a couple of pics from Tony Levin’s road diary

Well if there is a quad mix available..., Steven Wilson has a history of including any quad mixes with 5.1 etc.
Such as he did with all of the new remixes of Jethro Tull's 70's quad albums.
A quad mix was done and put out on 35mm film with 4 track magnetic soundtrack. That format was usually used as left, centre, right and mono surround but for Pompeii it was used for quad. The surround magnetic track is half the width of the fronts unfortunately so one of the rear channels is noisier than the other in quad. There is a rip around from a 35mm print of the quad audio but it was very noisy. Oxford Dickie reduced the noise and put out a version on his old blog. Hopefully there is a quad master tape somewhere.
