I know of Outlaw through their processors and amplifiers. Didn't realize they made speakers, too.

I had folks make fun of me, making that cupped hands gesture and others because I ran Klipsch La Scala's for 30 years. Just tell em to get stuffed.

No worries. I bought my base 5 speakers from an online only company, based on reviews by Audioholics, and the price. The company had their speakers manufactured in China, I suppose cutting costs. But I have always thought they sound pretty damn good. I've had them at least 13 years now and still going strong.
Some people pay to impress others. I could care less what others think of my equipment, I didn't buy it for them.

I have an Outlaw sub, and I’m very happy with it.

This thread is very inspiring!
I'd like to ask for some speaker advice for my home setup. I have a 3.2 speaker arrangement in my living room and I now realize I can easily add 2 Atmos height speakers on my front wall. I don't have any surround speakers here so I hadn't considered Atmos to be in my cards, but now I'm thinking that adding 2 front wall height speakers would be a nice addition for movies and TV shows that have Atmos soundtracks.

I'm attaching a pic of my setup, I have some '90s ProAc Studio 100 speakers with a Monolith THX center, 2 HSU ULS-15 II subs, and a Denon X3700 AVR. You can see 2 wood plates up on the wall where old speakers used to be mounted - there's speaker wire already in place so I just need to mount some Heights and the hookup is a breeze.

What height speakers are good options? It would be nice to be able to angle them down internally, although I do have some swivel mounts that I can use to mount the speakers, but that wouldn't look as neat of an install with the mounts.

Out of interest...

Instead of cutting holes in your ceiling, how many people here have installed wall mounted speakers pointing up toward the ceiling at an angle?

Speakers pointed up would be a complete waste of time, mount them as high as possible and point them down to the mlp

Your original post confused me and possibly madscot also?
How did you configure your system to pass Atmos channels to the LS/RS?
Did you tell it the LS/RS speakers were ceiling mounted Atmos and have the system then identified as 5.?.2?
Really just curious here.
Bottom line IMO is "if possible" @madscot is still correct and mounting some Atmos speakers high on the side walls pointing down would be a better option to get arial immersion sound from Atmos files.

Wish I could submit a diagram. Simply, my LS/RS are on 42" stands. My room does not allow me to hang speakers on the walls (hallway and fireplace problems). I get the Atmos mix; just not anywhere near having them highly mounted unfortunately.

Our front room would have never worked for proper Atmost.. Not even close. We are sticking with what has worked beautifully for many years now. 5.3. It took a few years to get to sound right..mostly due to bass. Was difficult..

I think that Hsu Research designed a sub for Outlaw some years ago now. I may be wrong... We love our Hsu sub!
