haha! :p probably never! I might get to triple figures one day but I'll bet 100 of them are French artist HFPA's and another 100 are 7.1 mixes of solo piano!

............and here we all are waiting for you to tell us which ones are cr*p and to avoid, damn we'll have to spend our own money now! :howl :)

Well, that might have something to do with the format's launch in France, right?! :)

umm.. iirc the first wave of HFPA's from France included many non-French artists = Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Supertramp, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong, Quincy Jones, Diana Krall, Velvet Underground..

if you look at the latest batch of HFPA's from France they're ALL French artistes..!!

Ha! :D I'm cooling off on them after the last spree of BDA's (including an imho useless/pointless 7.1 mix of two folks at one piano on Sono Luminus' Mosh Pit.. and that Unterwegs story with no words thing that amounted to a load of old sound effects!). I'll sit tight for Bryan Adams, Yes & XTC.. more my cup of BDA!

So the BDA releases have become more French lately? Hmm, I would have thought the early ones would have been from France followed by major artists - vs. the other way around.

The latest HFPA titles from Universal in France have become exclusively French, absolutely.. I really think they've left the English language stuff to the UK, the USA (and to a lesser extent) Germany, where the latest Maroon 5 and Mando Diao HFPA's originate.

That's a really interesting thread. Recommended for other readers, even if you're not into classical. Thanks, Brett!
