Both are really good songs, performed and produced to perfection, which we all know is very difficult to do. RIP Robert.

Not gonna lie. I always loved that song. I used to think it was Leo Sayer. RIP Robert. :(
Pretty sure I wore out this 45 back in the day.

Sad news. I totally remember the song. It was very reflective of the era. AM radio played it forever, but, I never tied of the song. Was happy to have it on the “Have A Nice Day” CD collection of 1970s music (25 CD volumes in the series).

RIP

Robert John also did some background vocals. Backed up Al Kooper on You Never Know album.

also strongly recommend Rhino's 25 volume "Have A Nice Day" (70's hits ) They also issued "Have a Nice Christmas" single CD album, and "Have a Nice Decade" 7 CD box w/ALL KILLAH, NO FILLAH, incl many hits not on the 25 disc collection. The front of the box is smiley shag carpeting! YOU NEED IT!
