Batch 7 will be (was planned to be) part of Rhino's Black History Month celebration.
So that's what I leaned into.
There's your Christmas clue!
So, my money is on at least one of these being included:
  • Spinners, New and Improved or Pick of the Litter
  • War, War Live or Deliver The Word
My knowledge of WEA-owned releases and quadraphonic releases by black artists doesn't have enough overlap for me to name any others.

Yeah, when I heard that I was letdown, no Blows Against The Empire, it's on RCA. And looks like Stewart isn't moving his ass anytime soon for a QUAD release of "Atlantic Crossing". Does Vocalion (or who does) have access to all the CBS/Columbia SQ albums, so many QUAD releases just sitting there.
Blows Against the Empire would be awesome!

Here's my wish list for the next batch:

James Taylor
David Gates
Seals & Crofts
Gordon Lightfoot

All of these artists were certainly influenced by Black writers, artists and musicians, so fingers crossed that at least somewhat counts...
If we’re going down that road, I’ll put in a vote for Deep Purple’s Stormbringer since Ritchie Blackmore claimed it had too much (for him) of an influence of black music and funk. Won’t hold my breath for that one, though.

Don’t know if Dionne Warwick’s Then Came You is a possibility, but I’d put that in my cart.

“Influenced by”? I guess. Some more than others

But for Black History Month?

Not a chance.

Spinners - New and Improved
War - Deliver The Word
Aretha Franklin - Live at the Fillmore West
MJQ - Blues on Bach
MJQ - Plastic Dreams
MJQ - The Last Concert
Billy Cobham - Spectrum
Dionne Warwicke – Then Came You
Dionne Warwick – Track Of The Cat
also possible;

Spinners - Pick Of The Litter,
Graham Central Station - Ain't No 'Bout-A-Doubt It

I wouldn't mind some released from "black artists". I am all ready for the next batch, now that I have received my 3/4 of the last batch (minus the Doobies which I already have).

Spinners - New and Improved
War - Deliver The Word
Aretha Franklin - Live at the Fillmore West
MJQ - Blues on Bach
MJQ - Plastic Dreams

Would the Merry go Round album by Johnny Nash be possible?

Probably not the Spinners. They were pretty huge if we're talking about possible popularity of the disc...aka sales.
Why not the Spinners? I've been predicting "Pick of the Litter" the last two times now. Not that I want it that badly just sayin'.

I think that we can rule out artists influenced by black artists and focus strictly on black artists. There is no shortage of them.

My greatest hope would be for more War.

I'm only familiar with Graham Central Station from the last Quadio release but would welcome more!

A sonic upgrade of "The Best Of Aretha Franklin" would be nice at some point.
