Thankfully, Curtis Mayfield "Roots“ master tape survived, it looks like, but most importantly will get a release.

We’ve known for years that when a title starts going for sky high prices, and sells, there’s a certain demand. And we have wished that we could get a re-release. It looks like Billy Cobham’s "Spectrum” will get one. It’ll also be interesting what type mastering will be on it. Dionne Warwicke’s "Then Came You" one would guess, based on all the interest shown for it, will hopefully eventually get a release.

The Spinners "Pick Of The Litter” will get us now two of their three Quad releases, with the big hit “Games People Play” that was in heavy rotation on the radio throughout the 1970s.

And, Aretha Franklin "Live At Fillmore West" is an historic moment recorded at Bill Graham’s Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco.

But, but, but, why? I like classic rock. More specifically 80s rock, but that is something that doesn't really exist in surround. A few titles, but sooooo many more that I want.
The whole idea with this Rhino series is that it's old Quadraphonic (Quadio) titles, which basically ended in the late 70's; reissued in Hi-Res. digital.

We can hope that more 80's Rock titles will be coming in either 5.1 or Atmos 🤞

Interesting The Spinners' New and Improved (from 1974) is being skipped in favour of Pick of the Litter (from 1975) - I wonder if it's being saved to be paired with Dionne Warwick(e)'s Then Came You in a later batch as both albums share the title track, a collaboration/duet between the two artists.

close enough to Billy Cobham's Spectrum that I'm convinced these guesses are all right, even if the font does differ a bit (look at the "a" and "o").

Close enough!

People keep talking as if we already know the titles for sure. While we think we know our best guesses have been wrong before. I will most certainly be in whatever we get but will likely wait for Warner Music Canada to avoid the double tax fiasco.

Based on the colours I'm most certain about "Roots", not as much the others.

Can't find the quad master for New and Improved, ding dang it.
