I don't see it in the descriptions, but the Spectrum Quadio also includes the DVD-A 5.1 mix, which is a first for a Quadio that had a DVD-A release.

Pretty much obsoletes all other surround versions of this album, IMHO

Considering adding MOL for free shipping

For some reason I couldn't get it to give me free shipping even though I put together an order (Bundle #7 + Bloodshot) that brought me over $100. I wasn't using a discount code so the base price on the order (before sales tax) was over $100.

So then I went for a discount code. I started the order over. Ordering just bundle #7 the discount code gave me $3 off. But then I added Bloodshot to the order and the same discount code got me $6.52 off. Strange.

Not a one. But do the Quadio mixes of that live performance have instruments in the rear speakers or audience/hall reactions like Santana's "Lotus" does? If it's just ambience in the rears then I definitely have no interest.

@sjcorne was kind enough to repost my glowing review of the Aretha Fillmore West quad mix in post #457 of this thread just two weeks ago. I've actually been banging the drum for this one since 2016 when I named it one of my top quad live mixes of all time, alongside Mahavishnu Orchestra's Between Nothingness and Eternity, Isaac Hayes' Live at the Sahara Tahoe, and Focus Live at the Rainbow.

On another note I'd like to remind forum members of the QQ Rules, and in particular rule 6.3:

• (6.3.) No “threadcrapping” Dissent and robust discussion about your reasons for disliking things are encouraged; dropping in just to post a low-value negative is not.

We don't enforce this rule particularly heavy-handedly, but repeatedly posting about how you're not going to buy something without any explanation of why, or discussion about the musical merits (or lack thereof) of the albums involved is definitely veering into "low value" territory. If you don't like something and also have no interest in it, just move on to something else, there's no need to piss in other people's corn flakes just because you're disappointed, and it just comes off as churlish when it's in relation to a group of albums with classic stature - nothing positive can come of it.

Wow...kudos to the Sherlocks who accurately figured out every single one of the releases in the new batch! Curious about reports on how the Aretha sounds because the version of this concert on Qobuz was not the greatest SQ. Personally going to be listening to the 2Ch version of many of these over the weekend to see if I want to get the quads....

Really cool the Billy Cobham in addition to the Quad mix and Stereo, also has the 5.1 mix. Never heard that one before.
