Aretha's Live At Fillmore West was issued as a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab CD in 1985, a part of their silver pressed (not gold) in Japan discs. That is a fantastic sounding release of the stereo mix. Well, it is the only version of the album I had previously heard. Drums, guitars, and horns are all beautifully recorded. Anytime MFSL did an album back in the day I took notice and expected strong recording and production values. It seemed to me at the time like a seal of approval.Pretty exciting releases, actually. I've never heard Roots, or Live At Fillmore West, so surely will be a treat to own these. Of course, I ordered all 4 and picked up Devo's Freedom Of Choice vinyl to get free shipping.
