We only received one clue on the mystery title #37 that it’s from the mid 1980’s. Can we get another clue? 😂
If Paul wants to take a leaf out of ForagingRhino's book, he should tell us something like who the engineer is or if the mix has been already available on streaming, or if there has been a previous multichannel mix...

Hmmm, could go either way, but 'Welcome to the Pleasuredome' would be an absolutely fantastic release from SDE!
Based on the given information, the mystery Blu-ray cannot be Welcome to the Pleasuredome. Paul has stated that this release will come in an Amaray case and be priced at £24.99. Welcome to the Pleasuredome is a BMG release, and Paul has previously said that BMG releases do not come in Amaray cases. Furthermore, they are also £5 more expensive (£29.99).

But hopefully, Welcome to the Pleasuredome will be released later as part of the SDE series.

Well I watched Avalon on YouTube and went "oh, it's them. Right fine I won't be ordering this." Doesn't do anything for me.
Avalon in particular sounds so different in surround than on YouTube - I actually first heard it via a borrowed SACD and it sounded amazing in surround. And then I heard it on my PC in stereo and it felt like cheesy adult contemporary. I'm still debating but I'd like to own this and I think I'll grab it.

That said, it's good to be discriminating in this hobby. A disc you don't listen to doesn't benefit you much.

Excellent sleuthing work!

Interesting marketing technique (Buy one/and one unknown) - would love to hear the results from SDE... could be a thing of the future.

Yeah - they got me...

Maybe. That's just what has been said in the past, things can change.

I hope so too, I don't have a copy on CD!

I'm hoping release #37 is something completely different than Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry...let's mix it up a bit :)
Agreed. And make it something epic to blow our minds away. No deep cut releases. How about another no-brainer like Peter Gabriel - So (never happening, I know, but let a guy dream!). Or Yes - 90125. (sigh)

This is my wish:

As much as I would love to see Gabriel be a part of the SDE series, I'd be shocked if it ever happened. When Gabriel released his deluxe edition of So, SDE wrote up a particularly scathing review of it, referring to it as a "super deluxe rip-off". Gabriel took notice of the review and was not happy about it. Granted, this was twelve years ago and PG doesn't seem like the kind of guy to hold a grudge. On the other hand, Gabriel has complete control over his catalog now and released his most recent album (including the Atmos blu-ray) on his own. I can't see him partnering up with another label.
