But the rest of the song is f^&%ing killer, and also probably their heaviest/most 'metal' song in their entire catalog. I've learned to plug my nose (and ears) to get to the good stuff. Cygnus would be another 'heaviest' candidate.

I've always considered "Jacob's Ladder" to be very 'metal', too. Just a tiny bit more of a modern gain tone in the rhythm guitars, and it would be a classic 90's prog metal track (and an excellent one, by the way). I'm as much a metalhead as a prog(rock)head and every single time I listen to Rush I can't help noticing the huge influence they were for later metal bands.
