I have a feeling we're going to be getting more of these sorts of things before the year is out.

NPR's blog/podcast "alt.Latino" is marking the 50th anniversary of Santana's 1969 debut with a 30-minute "oral history" featuring Carlos Santana, Michael Shrieve, Michael Carabello, and Gregg Rolie. (There was also a short teaser story with host/producer Felix Contreras on Morning Edition.)

Who cares? Gimme the Quad Mix on SACD!!!!!! :)

And all the others Santana Quad along with the First album...
We are entering one of the best eras for Rock & Folk music for 50th Anniversary opportunitahs IMO. Now it’s just a question of whether the people that pull the strings have enough vision to take control of the cross and get er done. The next 10 years could be incredible for us surround lovers; if they’d just show a little greed, we’ll show ‘em our wallets:)! This year should be a good indicator for that, as we near Christmas.
