SDE Blu Ray #32 and #33......Simple Minds Sparkle in the Rain and New Gold Dream! Released February 7th, 2025

Oops, think I posted my response in the wrong thread, so here it is again:

I have both those titles, but there are so many remixes and extras on display here I can't resist. Very good price on the bundle, too. I do have the corrected Blu-ray mix of Sparkle in the Rain, but it looks like SW has re-mixed them.

Now just have to wait until February

I hate to be the 48khz police again but I've noticed the Bob Clearmountain instrumental stereo mixesare 96khz instead of 48khz on his other mixes. Eather it's a misprint or it could be these mixes were made more recently.

I noticed the same but kind of get it. If you pre-ordered the EJ in the same order as the SM bundle, they'd have to hold the EJ unit while waiting for the SM discs to be produced. In the meantime, your EJ unit might accidentally get shipped/sold to someone else.

I stack preordered items all the time with other retailers, specifying holding and waiting until the final release is available to ship (if necessary), and shipping in as few parcels as possible. Even other small-ish shops (e.g. Burning Shed) are fine with this. Other places also allow you to combine existing orders into one shipment. SDE is an outlier in this regard.

To be fair, SDE is a much smaller operation than Burning Shed.

JPC is shipping upon availability, but charges shipping only once at least within Germany where shipping is free anyway (Vinyl and books above 20€).

Has anyone heard the atmos versions of these two albums? I've had a pretty reasonable look but can't find any comments on QQ about how they are. Just some comments on Sparkle's 5.1. Are these mixes good, does anyone know for sure?

Same here. I don't dislike them, but I'm not really an 80's guy (musically, although I was born in the 80's) so, like most SDE releases, it doesn't appeal to me.

Well, The Hurting got a BD with Atmos for its 30th anniversary, that's why my train of thought went like that.
