No doubt they will, though it uses a rather large cluster of GPUs, at least during training (32 H100’s according to the article).

I wonder how many are required for inference mode? Perhaps more than you’d want to buy for home, but maybe an online version will become available.

I once put together a 32-node cluster with 128 NVIDIA Tesla GPUs for number crunching. Crazy expensive, and the power requirements even more so.

Although the music of Jazz Sabbath remained unreleased for a long time, it has reached millions of people for over 50 years. A vicious cycle of personal tragedies and plagiarism led to the originally revolutionary songs taking on a dark sound. Now a third recording from the sixties has surfaced, possibly the most important.

In 1968, Jazz Sabbath were a hit in the British jazz scene and quickly received a record deal. They recorded weeks in the studio to capture their best pieces. But the label manager thought the album was too experimental and demanded simpler tracks, which led to a frustrating compromise solution.

The following albums are still considered classics, but the band was convinced that they had recorded their best work in 1968. A few years later, the tracks were presented as "original songs" by a Birmingham band. Whether they copied them from live bootlegs or not is irrelevant; the enduring popularity proves how monumental these songs were and how often record companies get it wrong.

Now that the truth has come to light and the Birmingham band has been exposed as charlatans, Jazz Sabbath have finally mastered the tapes of 1968 to present their best work to the public.

Found a retired electronic repairman a couple towns over from me.
He has a small business at his house, while he specializes in Velodyne, he said he could do my Marantz turntable.
Talked to him and was quoted $150 to service and recap.
That seems very fair to me. Am I right or wrong?

I had resigned myself to replacing the 50yr old table, but after looking at the turntable market in 2024, I figured it was worth the risk of $150, especially comparing to what it cost to refurb the 9001.

I found myself drawn to the Pro-Ject XA B Acrylic if the Marantz can not be revived, so I hope it will live on....LOL

Hey my son became an Eagle Scout last night at the official ceremony. His scout troop is run by a scoutmaster in his early 90s who has led the troop for 65 years. Their Eagle totals are now 1002 a record. Troop 223.
Only 4% of all boy scouts achieve Eagle status. This includes girls who are part of the troop.
My son went backpacking and did water sports and a lot of activities. I went to all the campouts and meetings.
Anyways it was a long 5 years road and he earned it.

Got my Eagle back in the early 70s but never got the Atomic Energy badge or whatever it was called (I liked way the badge looked but hadn't had chemistry or physics yet in school). Failed Archery as well, haha, Legalos I was not then or now. Great times on week-long canoe trips.

Sounds like the Scouts were/are a great experience for young people.
Where I grew up, it didn't exist so much. We kids camped out, hunted for our food, cooked it. Took small boats / canoes down the river. By 14 I had a 16 gauge shotgun and a 9 iron. lol.

The merit badge is called Nuclear Energy reputed to be very difficult and it seems nobody finishes it.
Happened to a patrol this year they had to abandon it when they realized they would never finish and grab something quick and easy.

I remember being a scout in a very small town in Michigan (Oscoda, if anyone cares) back in the 1950s. Our scoutmaster was one of the high school teachers, and had the vaunted rank of Life Scout. Eagle seemed an impossible bar to reach.

I'm not sure where to post this, but since it's pretty random maybe this is a good place to start. On the head-fi forum I ran across a post this AM about someone listing to a 2+2+2 ("Aurophonic") classical SACD pressed by MD&G. There's evidently also 2+2+2+2 BluRays out in the wild as well. On the SACDs, and there were also DVD-A's, the 2+2+2 is properly rendered as quad plus two front overheads.

Anyone here heard of Aurophonic or have listened to same? My searches are coming up empty.

I'm not sure Aurophonic is a legit term.

However you'll do better IMO, by searching for Auro-3D off of Google than discogs' advanced search (even when using 'format' or other fields.)
