There was a similar discussion a few years ago on (I think) AVS forums. A poster declared that many audiophile guys were too consumed with their hobby to pay attention to a female; reply was that he might have her stand in the room corner as a bass trap.

Sometimes the mix takes 30 minutes. Sometimes I'm stuck tweaking a synth sound for 3 weeks because "it just doesn't feel right, man"
