So far as one thing in each corner in the SQ, bear in mind that CBS had a firm rule that the SQ mix would be the same as the stereo without a decoder. This means that if the original stereo mix had lots of left right separation, then the SQ would have lots of left front and right front separation. Since these songs mostly dated from the 1960s, there was a lot of left-right separation. Not much center channel in stereo meant not much center front in the SQ. A lot of the early 'gold frame' SQs like this one, Indian Reservation, etc. had this situation.
