Hey this lable makes ECM discs sound so happy and light.
I own a few of these but found my local library carries almost all 16 of thier SACDs. This is due to them being Canadian.
I really like the sound they get.

Hey picked up two new Songlines SACDs. I don't think the company owns an audio compressor of any kind. Modern accoustic Jazz with very discrete placement.Think Like Waves is mostly across the front three speakers as there are 3 players. Magic Numbers really uses all 5, drums right F&B strings left F&B and sax center. Both 5.0

Wow,

Thanks for updating, otherwise I would have never known. I've been collecting ECM vinyl since the late 70's. I didn't realize they were still active. I just assumed they died with vinyl.

P.S. Nice prices too...

Yes, dark jazz is a good description of most of their SACD releases.

Songlines just released a new Surround Sound SACD - Brewed by Noon: Stories to Tell by Sean Noonan (Songlines SGL SA1563-2) on Tuesday.

hey just grab this on the weekend. More rock than Jazz, there are a few african elements as well, vocals on 3 songs and the guitar sounds african. The guitars lead many songs but Sean Noonan is the drummer.
I really like it so far.
a different release for songlines.

I really enjoyed "Sweeter Than the Day" by Wayne Horvitz. Yeah, it's a little dark but not oppressively so. If you like Bill Frisell, this disk might be of interest. Perhaps also worth mentioning that the guitarist and bass player toured with David Sylvian in support of the Dead Bees on a Cake release.
