Some old favourites there! The ones I've listened to were played loud - and sounded great!
I started life in Manning, a south of the river suburb. Work saw me living in several W.A. towns before retiring to Augusta (south west tip). I moved back to Perth for medical reasons in 2019, but I am once again living in Manning... all my life's a circle!
In Augusta, I hosted a show on the community radio station called 'Eclectica'. I played stuff like Led Zepp and Chain through to New Grass Revival, Nickel Creek and Nick Drake.
These days I find myself playing more mellow stuff like Birdsong At Morning, The Staves and Aoife O'Donovan, but I STILL love Procol Harum, Wishbone Ash, Jeff Beck, Zappa and of course Steven WIlson's efforts - both his solo and band releases as well as those great surround rebirths of Tull, ELP, King Crimson, etc,as well as his Atmos magic on the albums by Yes, for example!

Long time lurker, and first post. I'm considering hopping in for round 2 (if it's not too late or my newbie status would prevent me to do so); however since I'm in Canada, with the current USD / CAD exchange rate (around 1,42$ CAD for 1$ USD) and the expected tariffs between both countries, etc.; since round 2 will be shipped from the US, this is what makes me hesitate. Would end up almost double in CAD with the shipping etc. I've checked online if I could find any of these used Intel NUCs locally or in Canada, but cannot find any.

However, I can easily find locally some Dell Optiplex 3060 or HP prodesk 600 g4 with a i5-8500t and USFF form factor for around $150 to $200 CAD. If I'm not mistaking, the Intel NUCs have an I3 8th gen CPU. Would these be suitable for this project, if they have a HDMI video port ? My media player is currently an Odroid N2 running CoreElec 20.5 and with Garry's skin mods. Running great, but an upgrade would be nice.

The NUC8s have HDMI 2.0a and do 4K HDR 60Hz video and Atmos TrueHD, DTS-HDMA, 24/192kHz etc, everything you need for this hobby of ours. They will have a new 500GB NVME SSD for up to 4500MB/s reads and 2000MB/s writes and a new Bluetooth remote.

If you want and try saving some tax, since you are familiar with Kodi/CoreElec you can buy just the NUC8 from US, and SSD drive in CA and do your own. I can provide you with a disc image, you would need an USB NVME SSD adapter to ‘burn’ the image file to your drive.

Let me know what you want to do. The QQ builds are in Niagra Falls, if you going are down that way in next few weeks.

We have taken 48 orders to built NUCs in US, way, way above our expectations!!

I am building these NUCs in Melbourne or Australian/NZ members, that's still open.

We may do a 3rd Round in US. Reply to this thread to register intertest, If we get enough members we may go again. Depending on stock and energy left to do more. No promises.
