I was curious more if they had any specific feedback, other than just greenlighting the project.Rick's estate obviously approved the work. I heard that David is more ambivalent to his own debut being remixed.

Evidently so, as - contrary to popular belief - Steven has not remixed that album at this time (despite having been sent a few multis).I heard that David is more ambivalent to his own debut being remixed.
IIRC, there were some comments made on Reddit by a supposed family member involved with this.I was curious more if they had any specific feedback, other than just greenlighting the project.
Wow, thought there was some kind of confirmation of a SW DG mix; so itās not going to happen?Evidently so, as - contrary to popular belief - Steven has not remixed that album at this time (despite having been sent a few multis).
Wet Dream conversation to be continued here:

Wet Dream was just announced by SW. Perhaps he may do the early Gilmour also? This can be a consolation price for SW, not being able to get to remix the main PF catalogue. I can't just but hope that after David's two solo albums, he's approached but Rick's state. Can you imagine Wet Dream and Broken China in Atmos?

Pre-ordered mine early this morning.

Do we have confirmation he actually completed a remix of the album? He remixed Gilmour's first album which seemed to be met with indifference.

I'm not aware of that, but generally there's at least one member of the band or the estate that approves things.Did either DG or Rick's estate comment on the work that was done?
Why don't you just ask him?For what it's worth, Steven didn't consult me on Gilmour's first album.
I'm far from helping him on all his projects, but we did do Wet Dream in May of last year.
Even if I get the answer, maybe it's not my place to announce things. Why don't you just ask him?
How sad. I can see that it might be hard to create a great surround mix from a 3 piece band but Iād be happy with a good one.FYI, this was posted on SHF.
Sadly, Steven has put a big damper on the rumours about him remixing David's solo debut. He was explicitly asked in the new eclipsed issue and said (roughly translated by me) "No, I won't. I have a few multitracks, which David kindly gave me, so I can play around with them a bit".

I'm pretty sure there's a bit more than just three tracks on the songs. David played several guitar parts as well as keyboards on most songs. How sad. I can see that it might be hard to create a great surround mix from a 3 piece band but Iād be happy with a good one.
That still leaves loads of room for blind speculation and feverish hope . After all, why would DG give SW some tracks to 'play' with? We know that DG is very surround friendly and having Rick's album in surround can't help but make it seem a more likely prospect that others will follow.FYI, this was posted on SHF.

Not really. Gilmour's just not interested in this. The few tracks SW worked on was more like a test and Gilmour ultimately passed on doing the entire album from what I understand. That still leaves loads of room for blind speculation and feverish hope .
