There is a selection in the main menu where you can choose to play the bonus tracks with the main movie. Done this way, you get them in 4K and Atmos.
Hi MarpowThe Amazon version is wrong. If you want the best you have to buy from the A24 site.
Here are a couple pictures of what the A24 looks like.
It is larger than a Blu Ray case and has a nice book with many pages. Cover is woven linen.

Hi Marpow
Yes, I think I agree with you. But, just out of interest, are you able to expand on what you mean by 'wrong'?
What ProgRules suggests in the post above yours is simply not possible on my version, unfortunately. I wish it was!
It may be that the version I have is more readily available for some reason in oz. Of interest to some, perhaps, here it is in the store in which I purchased it on black friday (if you scroll down, you get a description): https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/...ollections-generic-list1system-object-blu-ray
I just picked up the same set from Amazon Australia, it has the A24 logo, zone B, Madman logo on an additional 1/3 of the case sized red band or obi (horizontal not vertical) over the old the standard blurry torso shot, can't wait to give it a spinHi everyone - I'm confused and am hoping someone can set me straight. I recently bought the Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense (40th Anniversary Special Edition) film version in the Black Friday sales. So not the white cover version shown on the first page of this thread. It's two Bluray discs but has no track list anywhere on the cover or indeed via the disc authoring (you can't do a 'track select' - there's none).
I'm sure it's kosher - I bought it in JB Hifi, a reputable store in Oz. But the lack of info, not even a track list I can bring up on screen is strange. I thought it had the bonus tracks (I zimbra etc) added in, but they're only in stereo and non-restored video on the second disc.
I guess the two main things I'd like to know are, does anyone know, is this meant to have a booklet and I just missed out? And is it the same Atmos mix as that white cover soundtrack-only version? This one says 2023 mix on the disc menu. It's not brilliant, but an OK mix.
I've googled around and really can't get much info other than the standard blurb. It's not even on Discogs, for me to check there. Here it is on the US Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Talking-Heads-Blu-ray-Anniversary-Special/dp/B0DFC7MJJW
I have had a look. The one I picked up isn't there. Mine's a two disc blu-ray.I think blu-ray.com has all the versions listed?
Yes, that's the one. I'll be interested in your opinion.I just picked up the same set from Amazon Australia, it has the A24 logo, zone B, Madman logo on an additional 1/3 of the case sized red band or obi (horizontal not vertical) over the old the standard blurry torso shot, can't wait to give it a spin
So far I've only listened to the main feature, which didn't include the additional 3 tracks (which should have been incorporated into the feature?).Yes, that's the one. I'll be interested in your opinion.
I have 5.1.4, so pretty similar. I thought the atmos mix was quite similar to that of the new release without the video (which is on Tidal). For me, the mix was way better than the old 5.1 DVD, which I have put aside to chuck out sometime. The visuals were way better for me as well. And I didn't notice anything out of sync, but I can be a bit hopeless when it comes to visual stuff, so it could well be.So far I've only listened to the main feature, which didn't include the additional 3 tracks (which should have been incorporated into the feature?).
Watching the performance (which I realise is an amalgam of several nights) there were numerous instances where the audio was out of time with the picture, as if they had used a better visual take over a different audio source. Sort of sloppy but I suppose it's par for the course looking back at various old concert movies.
The sound is basically mainly stereo with the odd embellishment and audience ambience, I'd love to know how it compares with the previous 5.1 Blu-ray, I bet there's not much in it, I only have 5.1.2 Atmos so I may be missing something.
However the performance, as before is fantastic, the picture in 1080 is pretty good, still happy to have it, just could have been better
In the US version they are/can be! It offers a couple different cuts of the film on the same disc. The default is the theatrical cut without the bonus tracks, but there’s a new “Talking Heads Extended Cut” and a transfer of the laserdisc which has the original home theater cut with the bonus tracks.I have 5.1.4, so pretty similar. My main disappointment is that the extra tracks aren't in atmos and included in the main program. Did you also not get a booklet, though there are holder clips for one? And isn't it weird that there is no track list anywhere? Not even via the screen options.
I will be in UK and EU for about to months next year and I may well pick up the video copy people most recommend ... if I can figure out which one that is! Annoying that we have quite a range of options for this release varying in extras and possibly audio and video quality of the main feature.
(Edit: fixed some typos/made things clearer.)

I still haven't watched the 4k disc and don't remember if it has commentary, but I believe that Tina Weymouth confirms exactly what you're saying in the commentary for the Blu-ray from several years back. At least I think it's commentary, maybe it's a bonus feature somewhere. Either way, in my head she explicitly states that yes, sometimes it's out of sync because the film and audio are not always from the same performance.Watching the performance (which I realise is an amalgam of several nights) there were numerous instances where the audio was out of time with the picture, as if they had used a better visual take over a different audio source.
