Do you have a 4K TV? 4K videos can be ripped and then, of course, you would need a way to playback the rip.

I guess you’ve made that pretty clear. I finally bought a 4K TV on Black Friday. I have a ChinOPPO 203 that I use for playback of ripped media.

The new TV replaced my 20+ year old 1080p Sony that I paid 2.5x times the price for, NOT adjusted for inflation. Flat screen TV’s are suppose to have a potential lifespan of 50,000 hours. At that rate, the old TV would have easily outlasted me(in truth, there was nothing wrong with it).

So it might cost you 2,000 USD or more to upgrade to 4K. If you even had the interest in doing so.
