Chronic Quadraphonic

The Montgomery piece is a world premier.
I do voiceover work. “Chronic quadrophonic” will go in my file as a tormenting tongue-twister the next time I get together with VO colleagues.View attachment 91435

why do they charge $24.00 for 3 sacd and $30.00 for MP3 and more for FLAC etc??
That, and Presto often gets promotions from the labels on physical discs but not downloads.Because the obvious answer is to purchase any BIS download from eclassical.com and get a great price that includes the 5.1 hires FLAC.

Have NO idea but price for 3 SACDs is higher at both jpc.de [€36] and Amazon US [$38] and Presto also offered me a $5 off coupon as well.why do they charge $24.00 for 3 sacd and $30.00 for MP3 and more for FLAC etc??
There's a list of options here: HRAudio.net - RecordingsAny recommendations for a good discrete mix of rachmaninoff's 2nd symphony? Is this DV release any good? Any suggestion for streaming?
EDIT: the DV release is not rachmaninoff's 2nd symphony, so it's not what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a quad release?

I tend to choose Ivan Fischer's recordings for Channel first if there's an option, but Litton is also good, as is Gergiev. None of these are mixed in a particular active way - all use hall ambience in the rears channels.
For vintage quad, I think your option is Edo de Waart on Pentatone SACD, in a similar hall ambience mix.
