I haven’t purchased that one. The samples sound interesting…modern choral music with influences from Byzantine and Gregorian chant. I see that it‘s also available on SACD. Have you heard the Atmos mix?I might have missed it before but this one is streaming in atmos
I am listening now. The atmos mix seems fine with good use of all the channels (I have 5.1.2). The pieces so far are little on the languid side but pleasant.I haven’t purchased that one. And they should've formed a band: THE JACKSON THREE!Fun fact: Sir Simon Rattle went to London’s Royal Academy of Music at the same time as Annie Lennox and Joe Jackson.
From what I can tell, this is going to be both a studio album in stereo, 5.1, and Atmos, with a bonus video section of the premiere live from Tanglewood.
Here's the 2nd movement:
The two disc set, a RBCD and a BD~A/V is available from DGG for $26. Exceptional audio and video!I had missed that the studio (?) portion of this is in atmos on apple music
And that it was in Presto's top 10 of 2022

Intriguing list of composers and cheap, I'll probably order it - it'll keep the to-listen-to mountain topped up!An intriguing new release on Pentatone from the Calefax Reed Quintet [MultiCH SACD 5.0]. Release date: March 17th

I like their previous two discs on Pentatone. They're both pretty anemic, surround-wise, however--though the performance space where they recorded Dido & Aeneazz, their collaboration with jazz trumpeter Eric Vloiemanns, has a ton of reverb, at least.Intriguing list of composers and cheap, I'll probably order it - it'll keep the to-listen-to mountain topped up!

I haven't heard thisI don't think there's a good multichannel account of Schumann's...eccentric...violin concerto. Shame Julia Fischer isn't on Pentatone anymore.
...I forgot I had it.I haven't heard this
