Barnes and Noble are having their annual 50% off sale on CRITERION Blu Ray And DVD discs/collections. The sale started June 29th and extends to August 6th but does NOT include pre~orders after August 6th. https://www.barnesandnoble.com/b/criterion-collection/_/N-1p0i
A lot of their newer titles are REMASTERED from 4K sources and also include remastered 5.1 soundtracks and of interest to QQers is The Complete Monterey Pop Festival [Hendrix, the WHO, Janis Joplin, etc] which has been 4K remastered from the original 16mm elements [in 1:33 FULLSCREEN] with a 5.1 remastered soundtrack.
High Recommendations go to the newest 4K remasters of Midnight Cowboy, Mishima: A Life in Four Parts [with a Philip Glass music score], Scorsese's The Age of Innocence, Ken Russell's brilliant Women in Love, Silence of the Lambs and Tom Jones.
Unfortunately, a lot of film buffs have enquired when [and IF] Criterion will ever release UHD 4K titles. With even the MAJOR studios releasing 4K titles at a trickle, no word from Criterion if and when they will take that plunge.
High Def Digest has a poll listing a lot of the newer Criterion BD~V titles: https://www.highdefdigest.com/blog/barnes-noble-july-2018-criterion-sale/
