Interesting, the neighbor orange, Julio, has only one equally impressive fang. He either lost the other or it's broken. Either way, orange cats are serious felines but fortunately he's most interested in napping.

She checked the O.E.D.--
Her favorite Book upon the Shelf--
For Etymology.

She slowly searched--So many Words
In teeny tiny print--
She had to hold in her front Paws
The magnifying Glass.

She passed "Feline"--a Word she knew--
And pawsed to take it in--
"Beauty" and "Slyness" made her smile--
She looked them up as well.

Or rather--They looked Her--
She lost herself in all the Words
And did not see the knowledge that
Her study had conferred.

She landed on a Word that seemed
So contradictory--
The Latin Root was Rudis--Rude--
How contradictory!

She closed the Book and sat quite still
Glowing with Inner Light
Her Owner snapped the picture here--
A Feline Erudite.
