Quite true. I never buy "session" anything. I just really think they taste watered down.

I’ve tried a few session IPA’s. I wouldn’t call any of them outstanding but some are pretty decent, get the hop taste without too much booze or calories. Firestone Walker “Easy Jack” is nice, and our local Boxing Bear’s “Featherweight” is pretty fine.

Mrs D's mom is over for Christmas Eve dinner (roasted duck) so we're sharing a couple cans of Dogfish Head "Super Eight" gose (5.3% abv, ibu n/a). Their description from Untappd sums it up pretty well:

SuperEIGHT is a sessionable super gose brewed with a bevy of heroic ingredients: prickly pear, mango, boysenberry, blackberry, raspberry, elderberry, kiwi juices, toasted quinoa and an ample addition of red Hawaiian sea salt! These unique ingredients give this beer a vibrant red color, with delicious flavors of berries and watermelon, along with a slightly tart - yet refreshing - finish.

Boxing Day treat required after a stroll in the drizzle at Knole Park. A wonderfully rich Imperial Stout from the Cloudwater Brewery in Manchester:

Got home from work and opened a crowler to share while I started getting some dinner stuff ready - chopping vegetables, grating cheese etc.....Bomb's Away "Autumn Saison" (5.6% abv, 10 ibu). A little darker and maltier than a lot of saisons but it was really tasty, went well with our omelette and tamales with red chile sauce.

Now, while cleaning up and getting ready to watch a movie....La Cumbre "Project Dank - Winter Edition" v2019 (7.5% abv, 100 ibu).

Last night while watching movie with Mrs DC....recent regulars from La Cumbre - Terminally Chill NEIPA and Origin DDH NEDIPA.

While out this afternoon we stopped at Bow & Arrow and shared this flight....left to right:
"Tangerine Melt" tangerine grisette (5.4% abv)
"Neon Pie" key lime pie sour (5.0% abv)
"Desert Revival" peach sour (8.0% abv)
"Juicy Skies" NEIPA (6.5% abv)
Came home with 32oz fills of the key lime (really good pucker!) and NEIPA.

Sunday sour share with Mrs D and her mom - Prairie Artisan Ales (Krebs, OK) "No Way Frosé" sour ale with lime zest, strawberry, pineapple and juniper (4.9% abv)

On a misty New Year’s Eve in Whitstable we’ve taken shelter in The Twelve Taps.

Some local beers on offer but we settled on two London brews: Mariana on Mango, a DDH IPA from Weird Beard and 08 Chocolate Orange Stout from Brew by Numbers:

Another dark malty one now, La Cumbre "Gilded Age" porter (5.7% abv, 35 ibu).
