A single bottle I picked up to try, as I do with its release each year....Sierra Nevada "Northern Hemisphere Wet Hop IPA v2018" (6.7% abv, 67 ibu). Not an outstanding beer, but a decent solid one for the price. This years has a more malty taste to me.

I found this one on Darko.

A Pilsner named after the Austrian village Fucking but brewed in Germany. Hell is the German word for bright but in this context, it means light or pale. Also a sharp reminder of how affordable beer is in this part of the world – €13.20 for 12 x 33cl bottles. Shame you’ll have to be in Germany to take delivery. Fucking hell, indeed.

I brewed 2 cans of this home brew together, last May.
I use the 2 can method instead of adding sugar and or spray dried malt extract.
As I have found this gives more body, colour, head and a better taste.
Especially when I can find them on offer.
I ferment for two weeks
Then I add two small infusers, filled with Goldings hop pellets, to the brew for another week.
Test the strength, taste test and bottle. (It was 5.2%)
Usually get around 38 500ml bottles.

I am now consuming them... Lip smacking bitter this is ..imho.
How I leave them for 6 months to mature, beats me, I just know the wait is usually worth it....fingers crossed.

This looks interesting. It's a de-alcoholized cannabis beer: Ceria Brewing Co. Contains 5mg of THC in each 10oz. bottle. I learned about it from the local news and it's set to hit shelves sometime this month.

So basically near beer with thc instead of alcohol. I do not know of anyone who wants their weed tasting like alcohol. Hard pass, time spent drinking beer is better spent smoking weed.

I like the Cascade sours but they're pretty expensive around here - minimum $20 a bottle, so it's a special treat when we get one. Last time I was up in Oregon we stopped at a few places - Breakside was pretty good, and Klamath Basin (down in K Falls) wasn't too shabby either. I got 2 or 3 bombers from Pelican Brewing that were very good too....too many good breweries and not enough time!
I mean Cascade bottles are $20-30 in Portland, so don't feel bad. I go to the barrel house or to their Lodge and then the beers are reasonably priced. Also, Breakside and Pelican are both good!

Have you tried Ex Nova there? I wasn't in that part of town last time up there but their owner is from this area and has construction underway for a brewery here - looking forward to trying it when it's all up and running as it's not far from where my house is.

I think you mean Ex Novo. And yes. According to Untappd, I've had nine of their beers. :D

Of course....dang auto-correct! Any lasting impressions/rating?

Now, for this evening, a share with the Mrs to start....Trader Joe's/Unibroue "Audacity" Abbey-style blonde. Not bad at all, but of course had better, but for the price point it's worthwhile having once in a while.

Now, another local La Cumbre "Project Dank Winter Edition" IPA (7.5% abv, 100+ ibu). Just great...glad I bought a dozen and even gladder my step-daughter brought me another dozen!

Shared a 12oz bottle (small taster glass for me) of Saint Arnold's "Ale Wagger" brown ale (5.3% abv, 24 ibu). I usually find their beer to be pretty decent but this is not one of their better ones....kinda lifeless and bland.

Now, from a 32oz growler I had filled today - Marble Brewery's take on the Sierra Nevada "Resilience" IPA (7.3% abv, ibu n/a). Nice touch of citrus on the front, loads of pine dankness on the finish. For those not familiar with this idea - proceeds from this brew go to the "Camp Fire Relief Fund" to help rebuild from the recent wildfires in that part of California. Sierra Nevada created the recipe and sell the beer, but they also give the recipe to breweries that want to participate in the relief effort - over 1400 so far. Drink beer to help people out - I like it!

I may be slightly biased. This is my favorite beer.(I've done considerable research) If anyone is in Tampa in early November, I throw a big Erdinger party. Look me up!

German wheat beer. Not spicy like all the other wheats. American craft brewers can't approximate it. My elixir of life. Hasn't failed me yet. 🤣
