That's a delicious looking !Last for the evening - another limited release from local La Cumbre - "Big Door Prize" is a single hop dbl dry-hopped dbl IPA (say that real fast a few times!) coming in at 8.0% abv, ibu n/a...juicier and hazier than last year's release...great brew.
Data from Untappd:Of course....dang auto-correct! Any lasting impressions/rating?
Amazing. Erdinger is one of the better German breweries, and one that can be readily obtained in the US. I'm impressed with that collection. Weirdly enough, my Untappd only has ONE checkin from them, the Schneeweiße, which is excellent. But I know I've had a ton of their beer, as I lived in southern Germany for a year. Plus I've bought it in bottles in the US. I must go out and specifically buy some to check in on Untappd and up my beer count.I may be slightly biased. This is my favorite beer.(I've done considerable research) If anyone is in Tampa in early November, I throw a big Erdinger party. Look me up!
German wheat beer. Not spicy like all the other wheats. American craft brewers can't approximate it. My elixir of life. Hasn't failed me yet.
Had a disappointing experience last night. Bought a Crux Stout and was very disappointed in it. Normally I LOVE Crux. They're in my top 5 Oregon Breweries for sure. But this Stout had none of the flavor characteristics they described, but it smelled and tasted hoppy and bitter. Nope, thanks.
Nor have I.I don't think we get that German beer in the US. I've never seen it.
