Not generally a fan of most IPAs but I LOVE Avery! How was that beer?

I generally like Avery very much, really solid brewery. Some exceptional sours, barrel-aged. I wouldn't say that IPA was in their top tier though...still enjoyed it but with so many other local ones coming every week it seems it's not likely I'll buy again.

3 Floyds Cocomungo.
BBA Coconut Imperial Stout with Maple.
https://www.3floyds.com/beer/cocomungo/15.6% ABV of I'm running out tomorrow to buy more.
The coconut is subtle, which is common, but the Imperial Stout is nice and roasty with a great character from the maple and zero heat.

But, my question to you, is one bottle enough with that high ABV?

to drink in a single session? you bet although the lack of heat could get you in trouble if you were at a bar and didn't know it was that high.
but, it is a tasty stout and at that ABV I can easily cellar another 12 and drink them the next few years.

Hop time after dinner...watched a few shows with Mrs D and now music time...all clear, no haze tonight!

Imperial stout with maple syrup, cinnamon, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and milk sugar

Great googly moogly this is a flavorful stout.

Mrs D is working up in Santa Fe for 3 days and as she has to remain on call after her shift is done they put her up in a hotel. After I was done work for the day I drove up to stay the night and we went out for dinner at Hidden Mountain Brewery (formerly known as Blue Corn).

I started off with a flight...clockwise from top left...a mexican lager, black currant sour, Roadrunner IPA, brown ale, red ale and oatmeal stout. The sour was pretty good and the imperial red ale was decent, others were mediocre. Food (tacos) was very good.

After the flight I had a glass of "Gatekeeper" IPA - it won the NM IPA challenge a year or two ago...and it's very good...so good I got a crowler to have back at the hotel.
