And I just got the email ...No 26 ordered
wow, nice!!! Bronski Beat/The Communards is/was on my SDE Surround Series wishlist!!
Needless to say, pre-ordered. Really looking forward to it.
Another vote for The Communards! Imagine Don't Leave Me This Way coming from every direction. Would be even better than the 12" single!wow, nice!!! Bronski Beat/The Communards is/was on my SDE Surround Series wishlist!!
Are these typically only available through SDE or do they end up on other sites, too? I love buying these, but shipping to the US is often quite expensive (at least compared to other retailers.)
All the releases mentioned in this topic (see post #1) are 'exclusive' to SDE only...Are these typically only available through SDE or do they end up on other sites, too? I love buying these, but shipping to the US is often quite expensive (at least compared to other retailers.)
Thanks
I have absolutely never heard of this band.
Now i'm picturing you watching half a dozen videos over your morning coffee! lmao!Yeah, I already listened to all the songs. None of them ring any memory bells for me. Not surprising considering the genre and the year of release.
I did just that, haha. Honestly, I could only handle about 30 seconds of each. Just not a sound I really enjoy I guess. Now i'm picturing you watching half a dozen videos over your morning coffee! lmao!
That's exactly what i'm picturing! There's a joke about cream in your coffee somewhere here . . .I did just that, haha. Honestly, I could only handle about 30 seconds of each. Just not a sound I really enjoy I guess.
Seriously? Man, I must be old...I have absolutely never heard of this band.
And, your post totally explains it. I didn't do clubs/dance scenes in the mid 80's. I was already settling down and getting married.Seriously? Man, I must be old...
They were all the rage in the dance/club scene in the mid 80s, although at least around here their big hit was "Hit that Perfect Beat".
I pre-ordered Bronski Beat blu-ray set. I'm uncertain why they charge me £10 to send to France but only £8 to ship to the US. Maybe the difference is related to the costs/levels of service available from the delivery service in the receiving country (in this case, Royal Mail forwarding either to La Poste or to USPS).Are these typically only available through SDE or do they end up on other sites, too? Me too... But I'm British so I do remember Bronski Beat. Indeed, this was their only album with Jimmy Somerville who left them in 1985 to form 'The Communards' with Richard Coles...And, your post totally explains it.
