Part 1: Ugoos Bluetooth Remote Control
This thread is locked to help focus on things you need to know,. Ask questions on our QQ NUC Club thread please.
I just finished customising the remote ready for delivery of our LibreElec (Linux Kodi distribution) disc image for cloning to your Intel NUC media players. (If you buy your UR02 own it will not function as described below)
The supplied remote will need 2 x AA batteries (not included)
Here is the Ugoos UR-02 Bluetooth Remote control layout. This remote has been pre-programmed especially for music playback. Users can reprogram specifis buttons with an installed add-on (beyon the scope of this doc)
I'm just going to discuss special/unusual behaviour:
Both Power buttons will do same, pop up a context menu offering options from Power off, Power of with Timer, Suspend, Reboot etc)
If you Power off, neither of the two Power buttons can turn the NUC on. Users need to push the front power button on the NUC
If your Suspend, the NUC goes into sleep (fast), and a push the front power button on the NUC, restarts (fast) to the Kodi state when Suspended
The top centre white arrow toggles the Remote to/from an 'air mouse' state, the pointer can be moved anywhere directly to a on screen option/button
The grey button at top right (small box with x) under the power button, then Kodi is playing music and you navigate via a menu, this button toggles between the playback visualisation and the UI menu overlay.
The white ring is your up/down, left/right navigation and OK to select, whatever is the current focused item on the UI
When playing album/ video left/right is fast rewind/fast forward. each time you click slower or faster
The left arrow is the back button/return, moving you to your last UI screen, or exiting a dialog etc
The three horizontal lines takes you to the current menu parent (you will work out what that means)
White Home, takes you the Kodi main menu
Volume up/down will control a connected AVRs volume via the HDMI cable connection (or TV if no AVR)
Microphone (not used)
Grey up/down buttons are Page Up/Down, when long lists are displayed on screen
Globe button: Takes a screen capture of the current Kodi screen (if you need support, show off to the non-NUC crew
)
Magnifying Glass button: Open the Kodi Detail screen for current view (Artist, Album etc)
next two (2nd from bottom row) When playing an album goes to previous/next track
Bottom left: Play/Pause toggle
Bottom right: Takes you to the Kodi Music menu
That's all folks!
