Great news, pending the information about who might've done the Atmos mix. I also hope this marks the beginning of a 50th anniversary reissue campaign because for me things really start to get interesting with the criminally underrated Nightlife from 1974, and Fighting from 1975 which marks the beginning of the Scott Gorham-Brian Robertson dual-guitar golden era of the band.

People who only know these guys for The Boys Are Back in Town are in for a real treat, because from the mid-'70s through the early '80s these guys reeled off one of the best and most consistent hard rock album runs of all time.

The Boys Are Back in Town
Written by Phil Lynott and Huey Lewis.
"The digital release will also be in Dolby Atmos for the very first time."
But also includes stereo and 5.1.
Which is cool as some newer releases have only been Atmos and stereo.
Tin Lizzy rules.

Where did you read about that?
Oh shoot, I think I got confused with Jacobs Ladder which is Lewis and Hornsby, I know how did I get that confused, my bad.
I saw Huey Lewis in the 80's and there closing song was The Boys are Back In Town, sometimes my brain gets all fucked up, sorry.
Huey Lewis opened for them in Clover and they did become friends.

Huey Lewis (who Lynott introduces as 'Bluesy' Huey Lewis) plays harmonica on Baby Drives Me Crazy from the Live and Dangerous album - this is because Lewis' pre-fame band Clover opened for Thin Lizzy on some of the dates that were recorded for the live album. Don't think he had anything to do with The Boys Are Back in Town, which predates those gigs by a couple of years.

Huey Lewis played harmonica on a song on Thin Lizzy's Live and Dangerous album, presumably because his band were the support on that tour.

SteelyDave beat me to it! I was typing and the kids disturbed me!

That’s some great news to end the week on. Hopefully not just a one-off with only this album.

I feel like I do with Jethro Tull and hoping the reissue campaign makes it to my favorite album which is kind of at the end of the line, Crest of a Knave.

In this case I hope it’s the start of a Thin Lizzy campaign that eventually makes it to Thunder and Lightning. Although it will be a brutally long wait if this will be a “50th anniversary” type of series.

But for now... great news.
Thunder and Lightning and Jailbreak true gems.
