TIDAL - Lower price for HiFi Plus users beginning from April 10th

Today I got a message from TIDAL that starting with April 10th the subscription fee for my "HiFi-Plus" plan will be massively lowered by combining it with the "HiFi" subscription plan to an offering called just "Tidal".
This article says it will take place "globally".

Saw the same thing today! My cynical, nihilistic mind keeps wondering what the catch is, but after some googling, it seems like this is really all it is: they're making it cheaper! Nice.

Interesting. Hope musicians aren't paying for this with even lower per-stream payouts.

I wonder if Tidal is thinking about streaming Atmos at a higher bitrate than Apple? If I hadn't just paid Apple for a yearlong subscription in advance (saves a few bucks over the month-to-month), I'd be tempted to switch, if only to get access to the Sony 360 content. Your move, Apple....
