To untangle Tale of Genji

It's orchestra with synths and Japanese instrument solos

1. The Tale of Genji, Pioneer Stereo limited CD 1999, Tokyo City Philharmonic conducted by Tomita, 9 tracks. Tomita was was said by his coordinator to angry about this release. He thought it was a video for Pioneer. But it was a quick live recording to CD. Apparently it beat his earlier own more elaborate recording to shops and being live to disc it could never rival studio sessions with an orchestra.

2. The Tale of Genji, Symphonic Fantasy, Denon, CD 2000, DVD-A 5.1 2004. London Philharmonic conducted by Tomita. He used Roland Sound Space and recorded it as studio sessions. 16 tracks

3. The Tale of Genji, Symphonic Fantasy Ultimate Edition, Denon, double SACD 2011, 22 tracks, Tokyo Symphony conducted by Tomita. Extended with more material

4. The Tale of Genji, Symphonic Fantasy, streaming stereo, 2021, 12 tracks, Kansai Philharmonic conducted by Sachio Fujioka. Called the 2014 edition Orchestra recording version, seems similar in length to the Ultimate Edition
