Not sure this thread will be viable but I've given it a try. Could any of you list the mch titles having been released so far?

SO far, this is all...

A Night At The Opera - Queen,
Histoire De Melody Nelson - Serge Gainsbourg,
Tommy - The Who,
Sea Change - Beck,
Les Miserables OST.

Thanks to Adam (Fredblue) for this list.

Titles that were formerly in 5.1 on SACD but since being re-released on HFPA are now only Stereo, include:

Barbara - L'Aigle Noir,
Derek & The Dominos - Layla,
Diana Krall - The Look Of Love,
Jacques Brel - Les Marquises,
Johnny Hallyday - Sang Pour Sang,
Johnny Hallyday - A La Vie, A La Mort.

Calogero - Calog3ro is also out on HFPA but I can't find a copy to confirm whether or not the old 5.1 SACD mix has made it onto the HFPA reissue.

FYI - Queen is not a new mix...it's the same as the the 30th Anniversary DVD (not the DVD-A)...

Hey guys. I will create poll threads for the multichannel releases in the blu-ray section, as it seems there is a clamoring for them.

However, I'm not going to enter the stereo discs. FYI.

So - if any 5.1, 4.0, or 4.1 BluRay pure audio discs come out overseas that merit a poll entry, please let me know in one of these threads or in a PM.

THANKS!

it's genuine 5.1, sound quality is gorgeous.. I guess it depends whether you enjoyed the vocal performances of Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman et al in the movie.. particularly as the lead vocals are very centre-heavy and dialled up in the mix.

I see a listing for Lori Lieberman in blu-ray audio in 5.1. Title is Bricks Against the Glass.
Anybody have it yet?
I have one of her stereo LPs, liked it OK.

Even when the latest albums from Steven Wilson aren't HFPA, they are multichannel bluray disc audio only. They are Grace For Drowning and The Raven That Refuse to Sing. Highly recommended.

=)

Hi - Is this audio only, or is it just the soundtrack of the video release?

If audio only, does the mix differ from the video married mix? Can you post a link to the product? I have not been able to find it.

It is billed as Highlights from the Motion Picture Soundtrack so should be considered a soundtrack album rather than the movie soundtrack.

My understanding is that it was commissioned by Bang & Olufsen as a promotional item to be given away with B&O surround systems. Certainly I have not seen it for sale except on eBay UK. You could try there and hope that someone might post to the US.
