I don't think it ever got released, I've been looking for a while to no avail.. there may be promo's out there of course.

it's seemingly now available (I was searching for it back in January when I first heard about the BD-A mix but it mustn't have come out yet). I just bought one from Amazon UK (£15.66) so will report back when it arrives & I've had a chance to give it a listen. thanks for the reminder vinylguy4.

Thanks again for this recommendation Adam, though it means I'll be spending more $$, again :)

hehe.. you're v.welcome! it's a group effort (rammie @sa-cd.net, QQ's vinylguy4 & little ol' me!) plus of course more than anything the obvious talent that pours forth from your speakers.. not least from Lori and the artists themselves performing, thru all the engineers, producers, technicians and personnel involved, it's a gorgeous album with a lovely presentation, it sounds sensational and the surround is exemplary. I hope you enjoy it as much as me (y)

Jumping to this thread for you Fredblue  Since I am new to this one, what is HFPA and/or what does mean or stand for?

Welcome! :D and Thank you! :) I didn't want to cause commotion on the Elton thread!

HFPA is marketing spiel, they are just Blu-ray Audio only discs. Some good ones, quite a few stinkers! If you see one while out and about, check back here to see if its a keeper ;)

"About 100 titles are promised by the end of 2014."

"Provenance is shaping up as a key issue in the marketing of high-res audio."

"Provenance" may be an old school word, but that is all I care about.

Also: When DVDs first came out, they released only a few hundred titles. SO... I hold out hope that Universal's PureAudio campaign will really increase the amount of 5.1 remixes. Joe Six Pack has at least a BluRay player, so this might just work after all! 100 titles this year..., 500 titles next year!... Its all about the installed player/hardware base. DVD-Audio & SACD never had a chance with their elitist pricing and draconian copy protection.

All Hail PureAudio!!!

But wait there's more!... Rick Wakeman has a handful of superfans who are high level execs at Universal Music Group. I do say that raises the odds in our favor of getting some of Rick Wakeman's classic A&M recordings in 5.1. I bet we get at least one, King Arthur or Journey To The Center Of The Earth. :smokin
