I shot this Theo Katzman show last night at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. Came out with good sound which was as important to me as picture quality.

Theo Katzman - Live at the Troubadour, Los Angeles - Sept. 12, 2024 (excerpts)

Amazon is/was offering great pricing on 2 2-disc DTS concerts; Susan Tedeschi on Austin City Limits, and Bonnie Raitt DTS-surround Road Warrier. Couldn't be more different in sound! The Tedeschi sounds great. The Raitt sounds like her microphone was in the next county. Turning it to "stereo surround" brought her vocal back, but what's the point of surround if it, well, isnt? The Tedeshi is $12 for the two discs, including full video concert.... get it!

Blue Oyster Cult's "First Night" & "Second Night" shows where they played their first two albums in entirety plus extras. Includes former member Albert Bouchard along with the current members. Good surround mix (not just ambience in the rears) and excellent playing by the band.

"Third Night" where they played the "Secret Treaties" album comes out in December.

Another classic that celebrated its 20th Anniversary last year ... Jethro Tull Live @ Montreux 2003. This is very appropriate for the few Christmas songs added to the set list. The band is in top form, DTS & Dolby, 16x9 and the quality top notch.

Blu-ray best price today 10/28/2024 @ $17.98
