Now that we are in 2025 we should take a moment to reflect on all the great releases we got in 2024. What albums either released or newly mixed for re-release in 2024 did you listen to the most?

I’m half tempted to start a thread called “What did you buy in 2024 that you still haven’t even listened to yet?” That would be quite a list for me.
There’s so much good music available, it’s hard for me to give something multiple listens. The two that I can remember getting multiple plays are the Fragile and Machine Head sets.
Goal for this year: Listen to the stuff I buy in 2025, in 2025. I know... it’s a crazy, radical idea.
We’ll see how that goes or if it just ends up on the scrap heap of other great ideas that don’t work so well in actual practice.

My two favorite new albums of 2024 were Gravity Stairs stairs by Crowded House and Now That's What I Call Fantastic Cat by Fantastic Cat.
The Crowded House album is one that didn't grab me right away but really grew on me after repeated listens. The Atmos mix is wonderful.
Sadly the Fantastic Cat album did not get a surround mix but the album is exceptionally good. They are still relatively unknown but have been gaining in popularity over the last year, getting lots of rave reviews. Plus they are hysterically funny. Their bumper stickers refer to them as "folk-rock for pussies." Their t-shirts dub them "the shitty Eagles." Worth checking out.
Some runners-up that I was really enjoying this year all of which have good atmos mixes:

The Echo Veils - The Calm Beneath the Noise
Tony Levin - Bringing It Down to the Bass
Michael Kiwanuka - Small Changes

Probably one of my top five of all the quad releases. I think it sounds so good. His voice is so rich and the quad is enveloping. Just listened to it yesterday.
