Ok I will say more.
It does sound good. I have a soft spot for Nancy. This is not a stellar album over all filled with many covers of then popular songs. But the Wrecking Crew plays backing her up and they are stellar musicians so it is an enjoyable listen. Light In the Attic is currently remastering and releasing her work. I got Nancy and Lee reissued by them. They also did this album with differing bonus tracks I believe.

It arrived about a half hour ago. Have played first 12 tracks. Only a few of them were on the original blue.

It will take a long time for me to a/b the various pressings of these songs. perhaps a/bing them to my original late 90's red & blue CD's. Fidelity seems variable. Accurate comparisons a/b'ing it w/other versions necessary incl MoFi 1/2 speed Collection, UK rolltop CD box, US CD box, etc.

Eq may be different on some tracks. Perhaps a few sounds I've not heard before. Fade seems longer on Walrus!!

Sleeve is paper, not plastic. Booklet has comments on the making of the tracks. Lyrics also included.

Certainly worth getting.

Stray - About Time (still going after all theses years) Official Website of the band STRAY, featuring Del Bromham, Colin Kempster, Karl Randall and Simon Rinaldo – STRAY – the band fronted by musician and songwriter DEL BROMHAM

Del Bromham is a nice chap, had a chat with him at the last Stray gig I went to a year or so ago, they really put on a great show, we did lots of gigs with them in the mid-70s so we had a bit of a reminisce about people), this a nice album of rock with plenty of melodies.

Love the Ozric Tentacles! I use Jurassic Shift to show off my stereo all the time! I bet it would be a fantastic Atmos mix! :)

My latest shipment from Vinyl Me Please is from Chicago's own Lupe Fiasco!

Yesterday I swung by my local Salvation Army and there was a new haul waiting for me...too many to mention here, 38 LPs and 48 CDs...
Among the highlights;
Blue Cheer's 1st AND 4th LP in VG condition...I played them and they sound really good!

(don't laugh) a Menudo LP featuring Robi Rosa AND Ricky Martin.. LIKE NEW sleeve in shrink...recorded in Kirios , Madrid where I worked a few years later...

Some REALLY rare pressings , A Dvorak Supraphon Czech LP, Steppenwolf's "Rest in Peace", Larry Coryell's "Fairyland", Chris Montez' "Foolin around" 1st pressing, a 3LP MINT George Szell w Cleveland Orchestra playing Wagner's instrumental music!

ESPECIALLY a MINT pressing of Carlos Santana & John McLaughlin's "Love devotion and Surrender" which has probably NEVER been played!!!

a couple of VG/VG+ Mercury Living Presence pressings from the late 50s, the Mozart one I just mentioned in another thread and the legendary Nutcracker double LP conducted by Antal Dorati...whew!
Also, it seems I stumbled into a deceased collector's collection cause (s)he had ticket stubs on the CDs of several great concerts.. Aerosmith "Get a grip" tour, The Eagles "Hell..", GnRoses "Use your illusion", hell , even ELP's "Black Moon" tour!
First CD pressings of many classic ones too...and some weird ones like Bauhaus BBC shows and a Greatest hits called Crackle!
A bunch of Eric Clapton and Tori Amos CDs too...
WHEW!
I will be posting them on my Discogs marketplace ...let me know if it's any of you so I can give ya a QQ discount!

I don’t own a turntable. Once CDs came along I moved on and didn’t look back.

However, I have continued to buy some albums over the years for wall art or just to display from time to time. (And, of course, we lucky dickens get LPs in our overpriced “but I just wanted the bluray” box sets.)

A new batch came this week. In particular, two were LPs that weren’t released (as far as I know) at the time the recording originally came out since LPs hadn’t had their resurgence yet. So I’m finally getting LPs of those Skynyrd and Coverdale/Page recordings. I already had old, antique store versions of Journey, but wanted pristine versions. Would have sworn I already had a Charlie Brown Christmas LPs, but couldn’t find it anywhere.
