YIKES! And the price is almost $30 [w/tax] and it's OUT OF STOCK.

I think you'll enjoy them, Clint! They're boxed beautifully but unfortunately, no booklet or liner notes.

The problem is that I'm trying to reduce my discs....this is how I have gotten in to trouble(I've run out of space)in the past...these "bargains" just sit there and gather dust...I'd never pass up one of these bargains and that is why I need to take some drastic action...I have some of these bargains that I purchased 3 or 4 years ago that I have never played one time...UGH....I might just cancel my order....it's a great find Ralphie(y)

Join the club. I have freakin' discs ALL OVER THE HOUSE.....not to mention these ridiculous humungous box sets piling up. A bargain ISN'T a bargain if you're not going to play it. I've been doing chores while the Blue Notes are playing in the background. Have NO time to sit at rapt attention in the sweet spot anymore......except for QUAD/5.1 listening.

And we still have those Elliot Scehiner 3 disc RBCD WB Acoustic remasters coming........YIKES, again.

Clint, this box set IS a keeper, IMO. [the Blue Notes].

But you're REALLY getting 21 albums on 10 CDs so it's less than one buck per disc.!

I know it's a bargain....that's not the problem...space is...once I get my hi rez discs under control and on a drive I can start on a collection binge again...right now I'm concentrating on discs I know I want...

Isn't there space UNDER the COUCH? Can keep those dust mites company!:devilish:

I ended up buying the set Ralphie....I figured I "mite" regret it later....at the time of our discussion I was in a heated battle on Ebay to purchase another "box set"...which I secured...now I have even less space:unsure:

A friend brought the album into school one day, the bands name has a very different meaning in the UK to the USA! I've the LPs "Fanny Hill" & "Rock 'N' Roll Survivors" (with Suzi Quatro's sister on guitar).

Oh boy

Amazon UK has just dispatched my Blue Notes box set...estimated to reach me on June 6th...not sure what year:unsure:

I received mine within 3 days from the UK>New York. Have finished listening to ALL ten discs. Am currently JAZZED out but am happy to report that this is a quality set and belongs in every jazz lover's library!

Saw them live once in '71 right when Charity Ball came out, I can testify they were a bona fide working rock band, despite the record label hype.
Nicky Barclay had toured Mad Dogs & Englishmen.

...bands name has a very different meaning in the UK to the USA!

According to the band, it's an old rock myth that George Harrison named them, they picked it themselves.
They did tour the UK and were apprised of the vernacular usage.

I don't think they'd have been as appealing if they were named Bum.
I only ever watched a few episodes of the UK (or US) "Office", but this scene is stuck in my head.

Aparte from some Pink Floyd's odds and sods (like a German Masters of Rock and Picnic compilation), I received today Loreena McKennitt's last record: Lost Souls. Ages better in my opinion to her Celtic's albums, this one goes back to her trademark full band sound. Songs are said to be leftovers and don't enter in any new ground, though still sound fresh and full of Loreena's enchantment.
I bought the vinyl from Quinlan Road at a very good price and like the rest of her vinyl reissues, it sounds superb. Very recommendable.
(And Loreena, if you ever read this, we want your full discography remixed in surround!)
