How about the recent pressing of Sun Ra Crystal Spears?, it was prepared in qs but never released by Impulse, I have yet to buy any modern vynil so I don't want to buy unless I know the quad encoding is still there.

Well Ralph I'm listening to this off youtube (on my computer speakers in stereo of course) and the sound field is so wide it seems like some notes are coming from the sides and slightly behind! So when I'm on my SMv2 next time I'll run this and I'd bet it is.

All cd copies s/b still encoded , Ralph.

Unless it states "remixed " that is.
Remastered will still be quad matrix of course . At worst , there may be a slight loss of some encoding otherwise those matrix quad single inventories lps will still be quad on cd reissues.

Got this last one as a free surprise in with a dbx copy of LA4 Zaca

Recently got sealed copies of Willie Dixon-Catalyst Ovation QS, John Heating Incorporated & Mandingo III Capitol (Canada) SQ, Mac Davis-All The Love In The World Columbia (Canada) SQ. I already had Mandingo III but couldn't resist a new sealed copy at a reasonable price. And also a NM Canadian copy of Chicago III, I already had a VG+ US copy but when the seller lowered the price on this a bit I couldn't resist. Also a German EMI SQ Mandingo-Sacrifice, record was described as VG+ but is closer to NM!

Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Divertimento D-Dur. It cleaned up beautifully, I would say it was probably never played. Out of several quad classical music LPs I have the Collegium Aurerum ones are the ones I keep coming back to. I think the fact that it is a chamber orchestra makes it sound closer and more realistic. The German Harmonia Mundi pressings are fantastic and the surrounds turn it into a live concert experience.
