I guess they were invoking Barbarella with that cover.

The Concerto de Aranjuez is one of the best guitar warhorses that there is and either John Williams or Pepe Romero are great interpreters.
The beginning of the third movement when played properly is a very exciting piece of music.
I have an SACD of the four Romeros performing it on Mercury Living Presence three channel as well as several CDs and LPs.

Another great Joaquin Rodrigo piece is En los Trigales (In the Wheat Fields) which is a solo guitar piece.

OK a little out of bounds for this thread, but relevant, this is a real nice DE SACD

Although i don't have great expectations for this one – based on the poll thread – it will be nice to have Babs on display. Another sealed SQ Quadraphonic LP!

Barbra Streisand - Stoney End

IMHO, Stoney End is one of Babs' best. Title track is from Laura Nyro's pen. It was a big hit for Babs.

Great covers, discrete Quad mix. A 9 or 10 for sure.
NICE! I LOVE "Stoney End" (and she covers a couple of other Nyro songs as well). I think the material is going to be excellent; I did read some slams about the mix, but now that you've given it the @Quad Linda stamp of approval, i'm all a-twitter at the prospect of hearing it! Woo hoo! Peace

Hmm , Project 3 were not known for issuing any single inventory quads , so...
I hope the platter inside is quad , being that's a stereo cover.

Just sayin'
Yeah! I was a tad freaked out when it arrived! If you look at the discogs link on my post, the platter itself says what is pictured: "NEW 4 CHANNEL – WILL PLAY ON REGULAR STEREO" I wonder if it has something to do with consumers balking at LPs specifically marked 4 Channel. Sounded GREAT on through the SM v.2, but then again, most things do! It is listed as Quad on discogs  The liner notes on the gatefold suggest it's compatible:
2F612F78-7121-4D2C-87D0-779D6C51DEFB_1_105_c.jpeg
And the catalog # is QD, not SD:
7CF45F18-ECF1-4557-9D6C-54D6A062C9A5_1_105_c.jpeg
So, methinks it's Quad. But the cover is a puzzler!

Ok good catch. Probably EV-4 encoded (or even QS) and should sound just fine with a Sansui or Involve Decoder.
My guess is the quad indicated paper sticker on the album cover came off.
I have one similar but it does have that sticker .

Found this at the thrift store!
I thought it would be QS…is it similar to EV4?
