Yes, you can say to your respective other halves, "look compared to this madman I'm normal!"Yeah! @DuncanS pile has saved the rest of us. Contrast my friends, contrast.

My wife has accepted I can be a bit excessive/obsessive with music and is in the, “Great... tell me how much it cost so I know how much I get to spend” phase of our marriage.Yes, you can say to your respective other halves, "look compared to this madman I'm normal!"
Not far away from .........My wife has accepted I can be a bit excessive/obsessive with music and is in the, “Great... tell me how much it cost so I know how much I get to spend” phase of our marriage.
And that always leads me to this sign which I’m sure many of you have seen in some form:
OK but if you really want to impress us, listen to (for example) Stage Fright without disturbing the rest of the pile.View attachment 93499
The To Listen To Mountain has reached 1.74m/5' 8.5" so a bit taller than me! In my defence in 2019 when my mother was very ill for 9 months I was up there helping to look after her and fanatically buying yet not have time to listen - though against me that is probably only 30%-ish of the mountain!
I seem to have an addiction to music, mainly surround but also CDs/DVDs, oh happy days!
My late mother did say to me, you're a collector just like your father - who was also always buying music but he did listen a lot after he retired!
musical Jenga!OK but if you really want to impress us, listen to (for example) Stage Fright without disturbing the rest of the pile.
I showed her your pile. She said, “Your still crazy. He’s just crazier.”Yes, you can say to your respective other halves, "look compared to this madman I'm normal!"
I can't guess who you like.Now filed.

Thread title = drunk on the word pile.Wow. If all that is on you guys "yet to be listened to " list I'd say you're runningyearsdecades behind! lol.
Now where is that Steve Miller Band DTS-CD... I know I bought it a few decades ago!
Well I'll tell you. I'm a little more discerning these days than I once was. I bought a lot of titles I listened to maybe once, then put in the racks.I'm going to be honest, my pile is zero. I like to listen to music before I buy it to make sure I actually want it, and the listen again once it arrives at my doorstep.
Alas, I tend to go on buying binges. I’ll save up links, or go into a store to browse, and end up a Benjamin or two down when I leave. Which means I have somewhere between two and twenty recordings that can’t all be listened to in a day.I'm going to be honest, my pile is zero. I like to listen to music before I buy it to make sure I actually want it, and the listen again once it arrives at my doorstep.
