Just bought Diamond Girl on quad reel for a not-insane $56. My first non-demo Q4 purchase. I won't be picking it up until September, though, to avoid having it sent by mail. Who knows: by then, it may be released on Blu-ray!
Thank you Jedi. Your purchase of that reel GUARANTEES that the QUADIO will be released. :p

Instead of an old quad mix being that weird orphaned product from a forgotten past, it should be considered a status symbol for the legacy of the recording. At least when it’s a good one like “Summer Breeze” is.

With Warner Music soon to having 40 quadraphonic albums issued on modern disc it should be clear by now that this is not just a novelty item.

Now, if other labels would only get on that bandwagon, we might see a resurgence of interest in new music being included in the BD-A music format, as long as there's a 4.0, or 5.1, mix separate from the Atmos mix. As for a Seals & Crofts box set, hell YES! BRING IT ON!

“Diamond Girl” is in the same boat as “Spitfire” and Dragonfly” as well as “Cold On The Shoulder” and “Sail Away” - which are more of the wonderful quad mixed albums we should or could expect as upcoming attractions on Quadio disc, and artists that of course were previously represented in the series. There’s a few others in this category too, like Spiners, J. Geils.
