I hate it when this happens... on my mighty OPPO BDP-103D , both (up until now) , the first seconds are cut off on 1000 Umbrellas and Season Cycle (and Earn Enough for us..., will I have to return it and ask for a repress???

I did QC in the previous 5.1 BD and it was something that was VERY IMPORTANT, so QC and the people who did the authoring were not very thorough!

Does it happen to anyone else here?

Yep. Same thing happening to me on the Oppo. It’s a shame because the mix is gorgeous, but the gaps take you out of the experience for a few seconds every time.

FYI, I got the same notice… And then when I kept hearing that others were already getting their discs, I went back into Amazon, canceled the pre-order, and re-ordered. I got a shipping notice literally the next day.

This isn’t the first time I’ve had to do something like that, seems like pre-orders should get priority, but I know things get borked sometimes.

Just received mine from thesdeshop today. It's a dual-gatefold digipak. What's odd (to me) is that this is the first item I've gotten from them that wasn't factory polywrapped; it's just in a resealable plastic bag... it appears to be complete though, just no hype sticker of any kind (if there ever was one).

My copy sourced from SDE arrived in the mailbox yesterday. Not too impressed with the cardstock sleeve design that springs open and refuses to close flat once removed from the resealable plastic bag... Haven't had an opportunity to listen to it yet. Will report back.

Just opened up my copy, packaging leaves a little bit to be desired, I definitely prefer the slipcase design of the prior 5.1 version.

Don’t have Atmos but I’m really enjoying the surround instrumental version, so great to hear all the tasty guitar bits in Ballet for a Rainy Day and Earn Enough For Us! The opening to Big Day without Colin’s vocal is so different! So interesting. I hope that going forward with other remix projects Steven will mix the album instrumentally in surround, it’s definitely been worth shelling out for Skylarking again!

I preserved the plastic bag, opening it with care. Fortunately it can be closed again and is not plastic to be broken to open.
After ripping both discs and scanning the Booklet and cardboard case I carefully inserted again in the plastic bag and put it in the discs shelf.

But yes... If you dont reinsert in the plastic bag, and you don't store it stuck between other disks, you have to tie it with a rubber band

What do SDE have to do with this release? The issue should be brought to the attention of the label, Ape House, or directly to Andy Partridge (deleted his Twitter) and/or Steven Wilson.
