Has anyone streamed the album on VEEPS? When streaming from my MacBook, the stereo and 5.1 mixes are missing many layers of sound and instrumentation. The only mix that sounds correct is the Dolby Atmos mix. With the neutered mixes on VEEPS and MP3 files circulating the internet, I wonder how many listeners/reviewers are hearing the incorrect audio mix. I've heard both mixes and the difference is night and day. I heard the incorrect mix on my first listen and was very disappointed in the album. After I heard the correct mix, I LOVED the album.

A lunar eclipse is scheduled to start around midnight tonight across Ontario, Canada. During the eclipse the moon will turn blood red.

Weird coincidence considering the new album’s subject matter and artwork!

Sounds like a great night to sit outside and listen to Steven’s new record! And as I was typing this I received a shipping notice for my boxset!

My boxset arrived yesterday. Surprisingly quickly, given I am in Melbs, Oz. I will play tonight, when it is just me and the dog home.
The quite large book is mostly pictures, with lyrics scattered here and there. The pic of Wilson with his family integrated into the artwork feels a little odd and for me intrudes on the overall theme of the artwork, making it suddenly about him, not 'the overview' (but his prerogative to include it, I guess).

Next stop ... the music.

My bluray has arrived today from Rarewaves, and the signed cd has arrived from Amazon. They need to wait until I get back home from work before I can listen.

Did you see that he's announced tour dates in Australia for November:

Steven really has come along way on his musical journey from those early beginnings, Porcupine Tree and now this very interesting release.

Now it may come as a bit of a shock but on first listen I was slightly underwhelmed.

It just didn't grab me by the balls and say listen to this you knucklehead.

I'm now listening to the instrumentals. WOW it's come alive. True I tend to prefer instrumental versions on most releases.

Back to the album then, now I can hear what he's achieving with his vocal arrangements that really make this release a gem.

I see Jonathan is credited with checking the mix.

Don't worry folks, I'm now fully on board with this clever, interesting and enjoyable release by our very own Mr Steven Wilson.

I'm looking forward to seeing him live, in May, with my brother at the London Palladium.

It sounds like its going to be a slow burner, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I'm going to the London Palladium gigs too, on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th May. What day (s) are you going?

We are going on Monday 19th.
Shame,we could have a met up and supped some ale together.

Ooh two nights eh...very nice 👍

Yes, I agree being a slow burner is no bad thing, especially if it encourages you to really get into it.

I just rechecked my ticket dates to make sure I hadn't cocked them up. 😃
