Brian, NOT to sound counterproductive but Native DSD's price for Pentatone Multi/Stereo DSD downloads at 64fs is ridiculously high at US 35.42. Presto Classical recently had their annual sale on Pentatone SACDs at US $8.75 EACH with an additional $1.50 per disc s/h and they arrived within a week in Super Audio Jewel Cases with a lovely cardboard slipcase cover complete with liner notes and of course the RBCD layer.

The pricing is set by the download sites and the record labels. On Acoustic Sounds, the Stereo DSD and Surround DSD downloads are sold separately.

Time will tell if the Presto $8.75 SACD sale - and your message - influences Pentatone and the download sites to lower their download prices.

A 3CD/1Blu-Ray set featuring over three and a half hours of material performed during King Crimson’s five night residency at Teatro Metropolitan, Mexico City in July 2017 plus audio extras.
The Blu-Ray contains over two hours of multi-camera HD recorded footage, audio soundtrack in 24/48 LPCM, hi-res stereo and 5.1 DTS HD-MA (with 'picture off’ mode allowing the music to be heard independently in lossless audio).
Meltdown includes, for the first time with this line-up, audio recordings of Breathless, Discipline, Moonchild and Tony and Jeremy’s nightly Cadenza improvs.
Mixed by King Crimson member Bill Rieflin from full multi-track recordings and presented in two mini-vinyl style gatefold packs with booklet - including photos by Tony Levin and sleeve notes - enclosed in an outer slipcase.

Scheduled for release this Fall - Yuko Mabuchi Trio: Tribute to Miles Davis from Yarlung
Recorded in DSD 256 Stereo & DSD 256 Surround Sound (DSD Exclusive, Not Available on SACD)

Last year Yarlung Records introduced Jazz fans to the debut album of the Yuko Mabuchi Trio. Recorded live in Stereo and Surround Sound DSD 256, the album quickly made its way to the # 1 Best Selling Album spot on the NativeDSD Music sales chart.

This spring, Yarlung invited Jazz fans to attend a live recording session for the trio’s next album – a Tribute to Miles Davis.

At the live concert and recording session, trio members Yuko Mabuchi (piano), Del Atkins (bass) and Bobby Breton (drums) were joined by Trumpeter J.J. Kirkpatrick as guest artist. (NativeDSD Music listeners will remember Kirkpatrick from his performances with the 4 Sophisticated Lady Quartet DSD 256 Stereo recordings on Yarlung – among the first DSD 256 releases on the market.)

To whet your appetite for this upcoming DSD 256 Stereo and DSD 256 Surround Sound album, Yarlung has released an 11-minute video of the trio with J.J. performing So What – a Miles Davis classic. Excellent, definitive list Haikubass - thanks again for keeping this running. I have two additions for you:

Big Big Train's "Merchants of Light" Blu Ray video to be released "before December 2018" which will feature a fully discrete and uncompressed surround mix of the bands Cadogan Hall gigs last year.

Two free flac downloads by Velcrocranes, available now here . These are mixes done for them recently by Bruce Soord. The music is on the heavier but atmospheric side of Prog, a bit like Riverside or some of Opeth's mellower stuff and the mix is what you would expect from Bruce - high quality, discrete and complimentary to the music. There's a .iso for DVD burning too, though I haven't tried this.
