What a year 2023 was for surround! For the first time ever I have thought that there's maybe too many releases and I have been seriously considering splitting the list in two to give digital downloads their own space. Well, maybe I can do that anytime in 2024 as I expect this year to be quite similar to 2023

As usually, this post has links to the rumblings and brewings present here at QQ, that are hopefully moving to the main list in post #1 once their info gets updated.

I'll try and do a weekly summary so that you don't have to check this thread on a daily basis Should you miss anything in the list, just pinch me anytime and I'll fix that, thanks.

The second list is more like a hub for potential releases discussed elsewhere on QQ. I plan to list them alphabetically there, until there's enough info.
As for physical releases of those two titles you mentioned, I bet that Robot makes it, Avalon not so much.

I personally was kinda worried about the lack of anything regarding Suede's Dog Man Star's 30th anniversary. I really hope there's a surround sound mix for it. I don't think Suede sold too well, though.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Stop Making Sense 4K makes it to A24’s website. A24 tweeted that the pre-order would be part of the special merch available at theaters for the re-release of the movie on 1/27. People asked if pre-orders would be available outside of the theater, and they did not respond.

There's no date given, but an Editor's Column about immersive music in the February issue of Mix magazine (page 6) mentions "an upcoming Janet Jackson singles release in Atmos" mixed by Dave Rideau, in collaboration with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
