They MAY have been. Both titles were announced in a Schwann's Tape Catalog in 1975. Numbers & price assigned and everything.
It only makes sense that they were trying to mix the whole catalog. Rumors at the time were that Hotel California may be coming in '76....
Wait.... 8 titles?? I thought only 4 were coming? Did I stroke out and miss an update?

Dumb question: if I have the deluxe edition of Paranoid with the DVD, what will this new Rhino Quad offer me (beyond the higher resolution)?
Red Octopus and Billion Dollar Babies are instant purchases, will have to check out J.Geils first, and Paranoid also an obvious purchase if there's something significant to be gained over the deluxe edition version.

And, to be clear.... I'm super fired up about all 4. What, we get to order all 4 at the same time? This if freaking amazing. Enough time for me to stash some money away for the 23rd.

I had to take a nap after all this excitement late afternoon here and then I had to check back to make sure this was not just a dream which I had while crashed out in my corner penthouse suite.
So yeah, two absolute "Crown Jewels" of the quadraphonic discography are coming. Another being a major hit comeback album, which included their biggest hit song. And another well recorded and mixed rock title which shows off depth and staying power of a very hot act, and has been somewhat overlooked - and deserving of reevaluation musically, and as discreet quad demo material. All of these in fact are first class recordings, but in quad will reveal layers of instrumental details only hinted at in their stereo mixes.
And the timing would appear to be perfect as well - what with Sony taking their sweet time with their next single 4.0 release, Dutton working on some new quad things, but nothing yet confirmed. Rhino steps up with these - two of which are already Quadraphonic reissues of the year, no doubt.

Seriously, this is just hard to believe...but it's true! Rhino to the rescue!
well i'll still be getting all 4 of these beauts, even though i've cut my physical disc spending right back since the streaming services suddenly went all Super Surround-y on us (TM..!) i can't miss out on new Quadio Foraging Rhino Fabulousness, just in case these releases are all gone in the space of like a week or something and/or rapidly become unattainable like the Chicagooo Quadioooo!!
