How come I'm not seeing any Dolby Digital albums on Apple Music by Santana, Loggins & Messina, and only one by Poco. All 3 of those bands & artists released multiple SQ albums. Between the 3 of them there's close to two dozen albums.
Quad? And not a gazillion channels? Besides, how does that tranfer to earpods? How come I'm not seeing any Dolby Digital albums on Apple Music by Santana, Loggins & Messina, and only one by Poco. These work for me in DA:How come I'm not seeing any Dolby Digital albums on Apple Music by Santana, Loggins & Messina, and only one by Poco. All 3 of those bands & artists released multiple SQ albums. Between the 3 of them there's close to two dozen albums.
You're funny!Quad? And not a gazillion channels? Besides, how does that tranfer to earpo
I wasn't "blaming Apple Music", I just thought they were just missing the boat.Blaming Apple Music for things like this is like blaming Facebook that your friends haven't posted anything interesting lately.
Thanks, good to know. I guess D.A. listing's don't show on my phone, just Atmos. These work for me in DA:
they unfortunately missed 1976's "Native Sons", a beautiful Quad still stuck in SQ-encoded vinyl limboThanks, good to know. I guess D.A. listing's don't show on my phone. BTW, they missed a couple.
Doesn't show on mine either (I think it used to show DA at some point though). Thanks, good to know. I guess D.A. listing's don't show on my phone, just Atmos.
Thanks, DA does show up under " Available Audio Quality " on my phoneDoesn't show on mine either (I think it used to show DA at some point though).
To verify a DA song I need to go to "View Credits" and check "Sound Options Available".
i suspect it's a case of Apple getting what they're given and Sony (rather unceremoniously in my view) dumped a motherload of old Quads and a handful of old 5.1's on them and maybe expected Apple to do something more with them than they did!?
really i find it quite incredible that among an embarrassment of riches all the Elvis Quads, including some previously unreleased Quad mixes of The King, are streaming now in discrete Surround on Apple Music in Dolby Audio form and yet the proverbial "next to nobody" gives two hoots or is seemingly even aware of it!!
I believe I've got most if not all courtesy of Tab Patterson's massive collection of quad conversions. Too bad they don't give The Kings fans a chance to hear them all, along with the 30 #1 Hits 5.1
These are a revelation after listening to Q8 conversions for all these years.I don’t have Atmos, can only play it as 7.1. But, it’s good that Apple is supporting new surround mixes. And we’re getting lossless Quad on disc. Lots of titles being saved from the ravages of time.
Thanks for that info. I thought I had looked for them and came up empty.even though they're in Lossy Surround, the Elvis Quads streaming on Apple Music are an improvement in sound quality on any conversion i've heard previously.
